This 14-day overland adventure cuts through the very soul of Northeast India — from the tribal highlands of Arunachal to the sacred waters and sacred forests of Meghalaya. Whether it’s the silence of Bumla Pass or the musical names of Kongthong, each day brings moments of wonder and reflection.

 

Traverse four cultural and ecological regions, cross rivers and ridges, meet monks and forest dwellers, sip local rice brews, dine on ethnic thalis, and drift in boats over crystal rivers. It’s not a sightseeing trip — it’s a soul-satisfying journey.

Day 01 Arrival at Guwahati & Transfer to Orang

Distance: ~130 km | Travel Time: 4 hrs

  • Arrive in Guwahati and drive to a charming rural village resort in Orang
  • Check in and relax amidst tranquil tea gardens and local Assamese homes
  • Take a nature walk or explore the adjacent tribal village

Day 02 Orang to Shergaon

Distance: ~250 km | Travel Time: 7–8 hrs

  • Arrive in Shergaon, a beautiful Sherdukpen village

  • Continue to Tawang across dramatic alpine roads
  • Reach Tawang by late afternoon and visit the majestic Tawang Monastery

Day 05 Tawang to Bumla Pass & Madhuri Lake
